Assembly of choirs
願此頌唱不為表演,乃為敬拜;

And the Levites — Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah — said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.” “Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.”
Nehemiah 9:5
In the Old Testament, the Levites were chosen to stand before God, offer sacrifices, serve in the tabernacle, and minister with music (1 Chronicles 23:5). Many of them were appointed to lead in sacred music — not merely as musicians, but as ministers leading the congregation in praise. This was a holy calling in the eyes of God.
In the New Testament, all who believe are called "a royal priesthood" (1 Peter 2:9), and are invited to offer up "a sacrifice of praise," the fruit of lips that confess His name (Hebrews 13:15).
Today’s church choirs, though not Levitical priests, still carry a spiritual duty:
They offer musical sacrifices, leading the congregation in united worship.
They are not performers on stage, but ministers in the sanctuary —
dedicating their voices and hearts as a living offering to the glory of God.
If your church is blessed with a choir, we give thanks to God!
The Sacrifice is a gathering of church choirs,
coming together to present a united sacrifice of praise.
Let us stand like the Levites of old,
renewing the church’s reverence and longing for choral worship.
We warmly invite church choirs from every congregation to join us in one accord, offering united praise unto the Lord.
Just as the Levites once worshipped with one voice, may the glory of the Lord fill His temple again.
May our singing not be a performance, but an offering;
not for applause, but for the pleasure of God.
